The Central Precinct Renewal Program is the biggest transformation of Sydney’s railway icon in over 100 years, unlocking the site’s commercial, economic and social potential.
As the site owner, and with our delivery partner Transport for NSW, TAHE’s breathing new life into the precinct by creating a world-class transport interchange with innovative and diverse business offerings anchored by vibrant public places.
Recognising and celebrating the site’s First Nation's history, industrial heritage, culture and design excellence, it will support the wider Tech Central precinct.
Importantly, TAHE is proud to deliver on the NSW Government’s commitment to a target of 30% affordable and diverse housing with the program.
Sydney Terminal Building Revitalisation Project – The 1906 building will be restored and revitalised, making it worthy of its position as the most important transport hub in Australia. The Eddy Avenue and Pitt Street frontages including Eddy Plaza will be upgraded to transform the unpaid station areas into new retail, cultural, bar and dining precinct integrated with a high-quality public space. Importantly, it’s going to provide a legible connection of the elevated station to the street, addressing an issue which has hampered the station since it was built.
